I moved to Oxnard in 1983 and have been a St. Anthony parishioner since then. When my children started at St. Anthony School I became an active parent volunteer/PTO officer for the 10 years that they attended. About 24 years ago I was offered a job teaching in the new computer lab for 8 years during which time I went back to school to get my Masters and Credential, taught 4th grade for 14 years, and have been teaching 6th grade for 5 years. I have been fortunate to be named to the “Who’s Who of American Teachers” 4 times. I have also been very active in a variety of parish ministries for the past 30 years, as well as teaching Religious Education. This church and school have become a very integral part of my life. It has become a second family to me. I have enjoyed all the people in the church and the school. It has been a true honor to teach the students who have passed through my classroom and my life here in this wonderful community. I have been blessed to come full circle by teaching the children of students I have taught. I love sports---more in the observing mode now than actually participating. Reading is a favorite hobby of mine, when I have the time. I love all kinds of music and play the piano as well as enjoy pastimes like going to the beach, arts and crafts, gardening, and being a lifelong learner.
