Homework

This week, we will be focusing on Lent- Praying, Almsgiving, and Fasting.

We made a chart that will help students focus on them at home.

Please put it in an area that they can remember to choose one or two each day.

1. Practice Math ALL facts.

ULTIMATE Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction Timed Quiz tomorrow.

Practice multiplying 2x1 and 2x2. Test on Thursday.

2. Read! Read! Read! Start ahead for 25 points goal this 3rd trimester.

Black Historical Figure Speeches: today and tomorrow.
Rehearse them at home. Make sure your speech is 3-5 minutes long.

1. Read! Read! Read! You will be AR testing all week long. 
You MUST have 20 points by Friday. Students should be reading chapter books at their level, bring their book to and from home to school. Log on minutes on Bookopolis.

Homework

Homework

1. Finish Word Work Unit 2.1 80 points total due tomorrow
Study Spelling and Vocabulary.
Retakes Spelling test and Vocabulary test on Monday
 
2. Practice Black historical figure speech. Practice your delivery and fluency. 
Come prepared on Monday with your clothes/outfit in a separate bag.
 
3.Study for your Math test tomorrow. Study your Math journal, especially ?#s 2, 5, 6 (word problems) Try drawing them out like we do in class to help you visualize the problem. Plot in different numbers for practice.
 
4. Dr. Seuss' Read Across America 4th Grade Campout tomorrow. Come dress warm in your themed pajamas (No gym shorts or sweat pants) Make sure you have two chapter books. You may also bring a flashlight, a sleeping bag, pillow, small blanket, stuffed animal, etc. It must fit inside a bag. You may also bring munchies. :)

1. AR scores went home today. As a reminder, Accelarated Reader is 50% of their grade. Students must have 20 points by March 9th. 

Please READ! READ! READ! today for homework and log minutes onto Bookopolis.

Make sure you have a chapter book for this Friday's Read Across America 4th Grade Campout! 

2. Write speeches on notecards. Practice your speech in front of a mirror.

3. Work Work Unit 2.1 80 points due Friday, March 2nd.

Homework and Assignments

Today's Class Assignments- if these assignments were not finished in class, they must be done for homework.

  1. Math Morning Work- Day 4. Must have day 1, day 2, day 3 completed also. We will be correcting all of them tomorrow.
  1. Black Historical Figure speech written out and ready for a week's worth of practicing. Speech must be between 3-5 minutes. Students may use notecards as an aid. At the time of your speech, you will need to hand in your graphic organizer and your entire speech on line paper. Today, the teacher handed out an extra graphic organizer to help write down your speech.
  1. Unit 2.1 Study vocabulary definitions. Test on Friday.

Practice writing the word in a sentence; drawing a picture that depicts the vocabulary word; know the definition, the synonym, and the antonym.

HOMEWORK

1. Practice your speech at home. Speech has been moved to March 5th, due to Dr. Seuss day

2. Math Workbook p. 41 #1-25 odd

3. Bring a box to decorate for almsgiving boxes. Instructions sent home today. 

Gentle Reminders

-Dr. Seuss/Read Across America this Friday. 4th graders may come dressed in their pajamas as long as they are themed pajamas. Sweatpants and gym shorts may not be worn. Students may also bring their sleeping bags, pillows, flashlights, stuffed animals, etc.

-Keep bringing in those empty eggs for our confetti fundraising. :)

unfair- something that is unfair is not right or just.
ancestors- your ancestors are people who were members of your family before the present generation
numerous- a group of people or things
segregation- is the separation of people or things.
avoided- if you avoided something, you stayed away from it.
injustice-if an injustices takes place, something that has been done unfair.
