Personal History:

I have attended Catholic Schools throughout my entire educational process, from Our Lady of Guadalupe Elementary, to Santa Clara Elementary and High School and on to Loyola Marymount University of Los Angeles (LMU).  Catholic Education has been an integral part of my personal foundation and I love teaching in a faith based environment. Growing up I was taught that God is love, and that I therefore should shine His love in all that I say and do. This notion sparked a light within me. As a college student I endeavored to travel the world, changing it for the better as I went. So directly after graduating from LMU, I
moved to Detroit, Michigan and taught 6-8th grade at Christ the King Catholic School for three years. As a teacher I planned on aiding our nation's youth in their academic and spiritual growth, yet I found that through this process I grew too. While teaching in Detroit I was moved by something Mother Teresa once said "Love begins by taking care of the closest ones - the ones at home." Thus, after three wonderful years in Detroit I moved back to Oxnard, where I am honored to be a part of the Saint Anthony's School Community. I am very close to my family and enjoy spending time with them. Joining the St. Anthony's staff has facilitates my need to be near my family and my passion for working in Catholic Schools. St. Anthony's School has proven to be such a warm and welcoming community, that I already feel at home.
