December 6, 2016 Announcements

Thank you! Gracias!: Rollin R Inc. and Custom Packaging Supply Company for their generous donation in helping make our 2016 City of Oxnard Christmas float a huge success. St. Anthony’s School is extremely grateful for their continuous support. And thank you to Luisa Arzate, Lorena Jimenez, Michelle Quintana, Erika Avila, Domingo Torres, Vicente Arzate, Antonio and Blanca Patiño, Marie Montalvo, and team for their time in putting together this awesome float!

Christmas Parade: I am happy to announce that we won 1st place in the school division and 1st place in the overall parade. I am very grateful for the time and dedication that was put forth by our float team! GO TIGERS!

Movie Night: Thank you to all our families that came out and enjoyed our movie “Jingle All The Way” on Friday. Thank you to Mr. Frank Sedeno for leading this event.

Family Mass: on Sunday, December 11th, at 10:30am. Students must wear their uniform to Mass on Sunday to receive free dress on Monday, December 12th. Hope to see you all in Mass!

Thank you! for supporting our 2nd grade hot lunch last week.

1st grade Special Hot Lunch: Friday, December 9th. Please support their fundraising efforts. Flyer is enclosed in today’s packet.

Noon Dismissal: on December 7th for Faculty Meeting. Pan dulce and hot chocolate will be sold at recess for $1.50.

Holy Day of Obligation: On Thursday, December 8th, we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. We will attend Mass at 11:00am. Please be on time!

Secret Santa Workshop: Friday, December 9th, starting at 8:30am in the All Purpose Room. See enclosed flyer.

Knights of Columbus Children’s Christmas Party: Sunday, December 11th, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 632 So. D Street, in Oxnard.

St. Anthony Church Penance Service: As we celebrate the season of Advent we are invited to prepare and cleanse ourselves to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. Priests from the neighboring parishes will hear confessions on Wednesday, December 14th, at 7:00pm.

Christmas Program: Thursday evening, December 15th, at 6:30pm inside the Church. We ask our SAS families to respect that there is 5:15pm Mass. Please DO NOT interrupt our parishioners just because you want to reserve seating! We will reserve the first pews on both sides so that parents may take pictures of their students. We ask that you be respectful and not interrupt the program.

1st Trimester Report Cards: will be sent home on Tuesday, December 13th.

Noon Dismissal: on Friday, December 16th, for Preschool to 8th grade. NO TIGER TIME!

Christmas Poinsettias: Please consider donating a Poinsettia plant in honor of a loved one as an expression of joy for the coming of Our Lord at Christmas; your loved one will be remembered in our prayers throughout the Christmas season. Please deliver your plant to the Parish office as early as December 13th. Thank You!

Christmas Eve Family Mass: All are welcomed to join us to celebrate the birth of our Savior with a family Mass at 5:15pm.

Can Food Drive: Was a huge success! We donated over a 1000 canned goods to Food Share. Student Council had a great time building a Christmas tree out of those cans! GO TIGERS! See our facebook page for pictures.

Uniform Policy: As the weather begins to change, please remember to follow the Uniform Policy that is outlined in our Parent Handbook. Sweaters, sweatshirts, and jackets must have the school logo on them. Thank you for your continued support in this matter!
