It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deacon Henry’s mother-in-law, Eustolia Flores. We ask that you keep Deacon Henry, Rocio, and Aaron Barajas and all the Barajas and Flores families in your prayers during this difficult time. May eternal rest be granted unto her as she enters God’s kingdom.
BBQ Fundraiser benefiting our school: Thank you to the Oxnard Downtown Lion’s who supported our school with a great fundraiser last Saturday. The food was delicious! Thank you to our SAS Parents and PTO board members who helped make this event a success. GO TIGERS!
Holiday Travel Guidelines: Thank you so much for all the measures you are taking in keeping your family safe and our school community safe. This is the time of year where travel to see family members and close family friends occurs. In having a conversation with the Ventura County Department of Health - School Liaison officials. Here are the recommended guidelines I received last week. I am not sure of changes this week. This new update concerns travel. Currently, the CDPH recommends that travel be limited to needed travel only and that individuals who travel after monitoring themselves for symptoms for 14 days after returning from travel, can return to school/work. We also recommend a COVID test be taken. At this time, CDPH does not require a quarantine unless the travel was to an area with a wide community spread. Please check the status for the last 7 days of the areas you are planning to travel to. If the area is a high-risk area, then an at-home quarantine is required before your child can return to school. Your children will be able to Live Stream classes at home during this time. As a school, I am asking our community to practice safety as you travel this holiday season.
SAS Quarantine after the holidays: The administration, faculty and staff has decided for the safety of all our school community we will distance learn after Christmas break from Tuesday, January 5th to January 15th. We will return to onsite learning on January 19th.
